About Us
TEA UIUC Board
AJ Yellin President
Major: Civil Engineering
Welcome to TEA! My name is AJ Yellin, and I am a Civil Engineering Junior here at the U of I. I am focusing my degree in transportation because I enjoy seeing the different ways infrastructure systems can be designed. Outside of my major, I am an avid roller coaster enthusiast, which led to my initial interest in themed entertainment. With some themed entertainment venues using transportation systems to aid the storytelling process (ie, dark rides), my goal with TEA is to continue exploring how new technologies push the boundaries of what is possible.
Kati Rambo Membership Director
Major: Landscape Architecture
Hi! I’m Kati Rambo, a current first year master of landscape architecture student at Illinois. My major involves interdisciplinary design work with focuses on outdoor spaces like parks and gardens. My personal interest is with theme park landscapes, particularly the immersive design that make rides and experiences come to life. With TEA UIUC, I hope to connect with others who share career goals in the themed entertainment industry, as well as those who are just interested in learning more about it.
Gabe Innis Secretary
Major: Theatre, Sound Design and Technology
Hi! I am Gabe Innis, a current second year Sound Design major. With TEA UIUC, I want to focus on the soundscapes present in rides and expirences around the world.
Ciera Keller Vice President
Major: Theatre, Scenic Design
Hi! I'm Ciera Keller, a current sophomore at Illinois. I am a scenic design major, meaning I design the sets of different experiences like theatre performances, theme park scenery, escape rooms, and many more. At Illinois, the scenic design major falls under theatre, so we focus on set design for the stage. With TEA UIUC, my goal is to showcase all the different careers and areas of themed entertainment, including scenic design.
Spencer Golub Tresurer
Major: Civil Engineering
Hi! I’m Spencer Golub and I am a senior studying civil engineering here at Illinois. My focus areas are structural engineering and construction management, meaning I study the design and building of just about anything manmade in the world. This includes bridges, commercial buildings, and much more. With TEA UIUC I aim to focus on the physics and planning that are necessary for themed entertainment, specifically for large scale amusement attractions.
